Born in April 28, 1971, in Diest in Belgium, Bart Geukens holds an MBA in Finance and a Diploma in Financial Analysis from the Belgian Association of Financial Analysts. He started his career as a trainee with Fortis Investment and in 1996 became a portfolio manager for Pan-European funds. In 1999 he was made responsible for the small and mid cap equities. In 2005, Bart joined Petercam as institutional asset manager for Pan-European small and mid cap equities. Bart describes his investment style as very actively managed sub-fund investing in shares of European companies with a small or medium sized market capitalisation that do not belong to the most important exchange indices. He bases share selection on their current specific qualities and is not bound to an explicit geographic or sector breakdown. In his spare time, Bart enjoys the theatre and cinema, music, travelling, walking, squash and mountain biking.

Gilles Lequeux

Gilles Lequeux has been co-managing the European small mid cap fund at Petercam since April 1st 2014 having joined the company as a capital goods and car research analyst in 2010. Prior to this he was a consumer analyst at JP Morgan Cazenove in London for three years from 2006 and spent five years at WestLB as head of consumer research. Gilles started his career at BNP Equities (Paris) in 1997. He studied at Toulouse Business School and is CEFA charterholder. Gilles is a member of SFAF (Société Francaise des Analystes Financiers), and in his spare time he enjoys the cinema, theatre and music.

Objective

The objective of the fund is investment in shares of European companies with a small market capitalization at European level and which are not part of the leading European stock market indices, and any securities conferring access to the capital of these companies. The investment policy favors the selection of companies based on their specific qualities, with no particular rules as to geographic or sector distribution.
