Citi Private Bank said it has appointed Catherine Cheung as Asia Pacific strategist, based in Hong Kong.
Cheung will report to Ken Peng, the private bank’s Asia Pacific chief investment strategist.
She will be responsible for promoting the Citi's investment strategy content for Asian markets across the different asset classes to both its ultra-high net worth clients and internal stakeholders.
Commenting on the position, Peng said: ‘The population of Asia's rich and their collective wealth are increasing at a rapid pace. Catherine’s experience will further strengthen Citi Private Bank’s strategic investment advisory proposition.’
Cheung was previously head of portfolio advisory at Citi’s Global Consumer Bank in Hong Kong. Before that, Cheung was the head of investment strategy, also with the consumer bank.
In its series of hires, last month, the Citi appointed Adam Proctor as global market manager for Singapore, Australia and New Zealand.
Prior to that in December 2017, it appointed Rudolf Hitsch as North Asia head Jyrki Rauhio as South Asia head, and Akbar Shah as head of business development.
