The Private Wealth Management Association (PWMA) has announced the appointment of a new managing director.
Peter Stein, the former head of regulatory advisory and relations, Asia Pacific, at UBS, is set to succeed Joanne Leung.
She will retire from the Hong Kong-based association at the end of this year.
Stein will report directly to the executive committee of PWMA.
Prior to joining UBS, Stein was a senior editor in Hong Kong with The Wall Street Journal, where he worked for 20 years.
PWMA is a voluntary association with 46 full corporate members and a nine-member executive committee.
It was established in September 2013 to better establish Hong Kong as a private wealth management hub.
