HSBC Singapore names wealth head

HSBC Singapore has appointed Cameron Senior as head of wealth and international for its retail banking and wealth management (RBWM) business.

In the newly created role, Senior will drive changes to the business as the bank aims to strengthen its wealth management and advisory sales platform for emerging and mass affluent customers, both in Singapore and for those with international needs.

Prior to this, he was HSBC’s head of retail distribution for three years. He has covered Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and the UK during his 20-year career within the bank’s retail business.

The announcement is in conjunction with three other senior-level appointments by the UK-headquartered bank, which is expanding the RBWM operations in Singapore as part of its ‘Pivot to Asia’ strategy launched in 2015.

‘The expanded management team will allow us to better support our growth agenda in Singapore which is a priority market under HSBC Group’s Pivot to Asia strategy,’ said Anurag Mathur, head of the RBWM division.

Lina Chan, who was previously head of client management and business development at HSBC Singapore, has been appointed head of multi-channel optimisation.

She will be responsible for multi-channel support and transformation, including identifying and migrating select over-the-counter services, streamlining the referral process across channels, and utilising new multi-channel technologies.

Fion Khoh, meanwhile, has been named head of network, which will involve business development and the management of HSBC’s network of 11 branches in Singapore.

In her previous role, she was responsible for the implementation and delivery of HSBC’s branch network strategy across eight branches.
Additionally, Christine Lim has joined as head of direct sales, responsible for acquiring new customers.

She spent seven years at ANZ Bank, Singapore, where her last position was acquisition head of credit cards and personal loans.
