BNP Paribas Wealth Management has confirmed that Lemuel Lee has joined as deputy head of investment services for Asia-Pacific. Lee, who was previously head of equities at J.P. Morgan Private Bank, will also be head of investment services in Hong Kong.
J.P. Morgan Private Bank has appointed a new head of its non-resident Indian business. Shantanu Jain has been promoted from within the bank’s NRI team, taking over from Sundar Ramani, who has left the firm.
Mirae Asset Global Investments’ head of ETFs, David Quah, has left to join Value Partners Group in Hong Kong. Quah will be co-managing director, quantitative investment solutions, overseeing ETFs and quant products. Before joining Mirae in 2016, Quah spent more than 18 years at Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing, rising to vice president of market infrastructure and products, cash trading.
Newton Investment Management, part of BNY Mellon Investment Management, has appointed Curt Custard to the newly-created role of chief investment officer, as part of a management restructure. Custard was previously head of investment solutions at UBS Asset Management. Newton’s Global head of distribution Julian Lyne has been promoted to chief commercial officer.
Consultancy Willis Towers Watson has appointed Fabien Conderanne as deputy head of financial solutions, Asia-Pacific.
