Independent asset manager Thirdrock Group has appointed Arthur Fong as senior client adviser. Fong was previously Bank of Singapore’s managing director for Greater China. Fong is Thirdrock’s fifth major hire of the year. The firm earlier appointed former Standard Chartered Private Bank Malaysia head Martin Lim as a senior client adviser, and hired Richard Lewis, Rainer Teo and Nikhil Niyogi as client advisers. Lewis and Teo joined from One Asia Investment Partners, while Niyogi was a director at Deutsche Bank.
Insight Investment has appointed Angus Woolhouse as global head of distribution. Woolhouse previously held the same role at Baring Asset Management. Insight has also hired Adam Kibble from Macquarie Funds Management as a product specialist in Sydney.
