Pictet Wealth Management has named David Gaud as Asia chief investment officer, one year after Bhaskar Laxminarayan moved to Julius Baer.
Global CIO Cesar Perez Ruiz was overseeing investment strategies for Asian private clients in the interim.
Gaud joins Pictet from Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management, where he started working in 2006, first in France and then in Hong Kong, as an Asian equities fund manager. His latest role was head of emerging equity.
Based in Singapore, Gaud reports to Ruiz.
He has worked HSBC Bank and Deutsche Bank in the past.
The Pictet Group is a partnership of six owner managers, and manages $499 billion in assets under management.
It offers wealth management, asset management and related asset services and does not engage in investment banking or offer commercial loans.
