RAM Active Investments has hired Olivier Mulin as a portfolio manager to strengthen its convertible bonds team, Citywire Global can exclusively reveal.
The Swiss asset manager said Mulin, who has a nine years’ experience in managing convertibles, joins from Rothschild & Cie, where he co-managed the firm’s Convertible European Bond fund.
Commenting on the new hire, Daras said: ‘Olivier Mullin shares our conviction in combining fundamental stock picking and convexity maximisation expertise for the active management of RAM Tactical Convertibles Europe.’
‘It’s a good time to reinforce our convertible strategy as the asset class is getting traction given the current low yield environment.’
Citywire A-rated Thomas de Saint Seine, CEO of RAM Active Investments, added: ‘Olivier’s addition underscores our strong commitment in growing our convertible business, which represents one of RAM’s key strategic focus areas.’
The RAM (Lux) TF-Convertibles Europe fund has returned 22.4% in euro terms over the three years to the end of April 2015. This compares to a rise of 11.97% by its Citywire-assigned benchmark, the Citi WGBI TR USD, over the same period.
