Citi PB appoints global markets manager for Taiwan

Citi Private Bank has hired a new global markets manager for Taiwan to drive its ultra-high-net-worth business in the country.

Effective immediately, Sally Yeh (pictured) is based in Hong Kong, and reports to Citi’s North Asia head Rudolf Hitsch.

She is responsible for growing the private bank’s business with ultra-high-net-worth individuals from Taiwan and manage teams based in both Hong Kong and Singapore.

Yeh joins from UBS where she most recently led a team of offshore bankers working with entrepreneurs from Taiwan.

She started her career in Taiwan in asset management, before moving on to work in investment banking for eight years.

Commenting on the new appointment, Hitsch said he is confident that under Yeh's leadership Citi will be able to meet the needs of its entrepreneurial clients and their families in the Taiwan.

‘Entrepreneurial families in Taiwan have built successful businesses over the past several decades, many of which are now global market leaders with an international footprint in specialized niche markets,' he said.

Last month, the US lender appointed Jørgen Christensen as global market manager for the Philippines, based in Singapore.

This comes after Simon Kastono assumed the role of global markets manager for Indonesia and Timothy Morse as global markets manager for Thailand, Malaysia and Brunei this April.

Veteran banker Adam Proctor was named global markets manager for Singapore, Australia and New Zealand in February.
