Fidelity International has made two new senior appointments in the Asia Pacific region.
The firm has appointed Rajeev Mittal as managing director for Asia Pacific ex-Japan, and Derek Young, the vice chairman of Fidelity Institutional Asset Management as president, Japan.
Mittal joins from PineBridge Investments, where he was Asia Pacific CEO for the last seven years. Prior to that, he was PineBridge’s CEO for Europe, and held a variety of investment roles primarily focused on emerging markets and international fixed income.
Young has been with Fidelity with 22 years. During this time he has held many senior roles including positions as head of investment client strategy within asset management, where he worked directly with Japanese clients; president of global asset allocation; and president of Fidelity strategic advisors.
Both executives will come onboard their new roles in January 2019, Fidelity said.
