Hermes Fund Managers has appointed investment banking and asset management veteran Zoë Shaw as head of fixed income.
The London-based group handed Shaw the newly created role to help strengthen its operations in the bond market.
She joins from specialist fixed income investment advisory firm Promethion Limited, where she had served as managing director since 2009.
In her new capacity, Shaw will be charged with building on the group’s existing fixed income and credit capabilities, as well as creating a range of specialist credit strategies.
Shaw, who brings with her 30 years of experience in the investment banking and asset management industry, will report to Saker Nusseibeh, chief executive officer at Hermes Fund Managers.
Commenting on the appointment, Nusseibeh said: ‘Zoë brings with her a wealth of knowledge and industry experience, and will play an integral role in creating a range of specialist credit capabilities which will give clients the opportunity to invest in hard to access areas of the fixed income spectrum.’
Prior to her time at Promethion Limited, Shaw was a founder and managing partner at fixed income specialist New Bond Street Asset Management. She had also held senior posts at BGB UK, WestLB and Bank of America.
