Bank J. Safra Sarasin has appointed a new managing director in Singapore for its ultra-high-net-worth client advisory segment.
Mary Lee has joined from Deutsche Bank, where she had worked since 2009 and was most recently managing director and team head, based in Singapore.
Prior to that, from 2004 she was with DBS Bank in Singapore as team head for the Indonesian market.
From 1987 until 2004, Lee worked in Indonesia with Standard Chartered Bank and Citibank in various roles, including wealth management, corporate and institutional banking, corporate leasing and consumer banking.
This is the second senior hire Safra Sarasin has made this year. In January, the bank named Vinay Gandhi as its Singapore chief executive, succeeding Benedikt Maissen, who is now working with HSBC Private Banking as its new market head for Indonesia.
