The Schroder ISF Asian Opportunities fund will be temporarily co-managed by Citywire + rated Toby Hudson, as its current manager, Citywire A rated Robin Parbrook, is relocating from Hong Kong to London, Citywire Asia's sister website Citywire Selector has revealed.
Hudson will serve as co-manager on the fund from May 1, before assuming full responsibility for the fund on January 1, 2018.
Meanwhile, Parbrook, co-head of Asian equity alternative investments, will continue to work with Schroders’ Asian Equities team and manage his other funds in partnership with King Fuei Lee.
Commenting on the change, Parbrook said: ‘I am pleased that Toby is taking on responsibility for Schroders ISF Asian Opportunities. I believe the key to our success has been a clearly defined philosophy, a robust investment process and a strong team culture. These fundamentals will not change.’
There will be no changes to the investment objective of the funds.
Over three years to the end of March 2017, the Schroder ISF Asian Opportunities fund returned 20.95% in US dollar terms. This compares to a rise of 15.64% of its Citywire-assigned benchmark, the MSCI AS Asia ex Japan TR USD, over the same time frame.
