International asset manager Schroders has appointed Amy Cho as its new CEO for Hong Kong, effective 3 December.
She succeeds Chris Durack who is returning to Australia to assume the position of CEO for Schroders Australia.
In addition to the Hong Kong CEO position, Cho will take on the newly-created role of regional head of intermediary clients.
She joins from Pictet Asset Managment where she was managing director and regional head of business development for Apac ex-Japan and general manager for Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Prior to that, Cho has held senior positions at First State Investments, HSBC Asset Management and Citibank.
Meanwhile, on top of his new CEO position in Australia, Durack will continue to oversee the institutional business across the Asia Pacific region, Schroders said.
