Updated: DBS’ Rob Ioannou expands portfolio

DBS Private Bank has expanded the portfolio of Rob Ioannou, who is the managing director and head of international client coverage.

Ioannou has been handed the responsibilities of wealth planning and insurance solutions in addition to his current role.

Citywire Asia previously reported that Peter Triggs retired from his position as head of wealth planning. DBS, however, has clarified that Triggs is still with the bank as senior adviser of wealth planning.

Ioannou, meanwhile, joined DBS in 2016 to lead the global South Asia and non-resident Indian teams, the Europe, Middle East and Africa geographies, as well as the Japanese international segment.

He also serves as a member of the DBS regional wealth management committee.

Prior to joining DBS, he was at HSBC Private Bank for 13 years, where his last held role was co-head of Southeast Asia and director of HSBC Trust Company Singapore.

DBS currently manages SGD 208 billion ($153.3 billion) across its private bank, Treasures and Treasures Private Client divisions.

The bank’s wealth planning division covers succession planning, family office, philanthropy, tax planning and insurance solutions.
